Women on the Move Program - Mullewa

I would love to say a huge thanks to Sheree, Project Coordinator for Women on the Move Program in Mullewa, for allowing me to be involved in this incredible program designed  to empower and educate young women through a variety of different activities.  Sheree asked me to come along and teach the women some jewellery making skills which, of course is right up my alley.  (Thanks to Janine for the recommendation too).

I must also say a huge thanks to Rhonda at Inspirations Resdiential Training Facility in Mullewa for her incredible hospitality.  I enjoyed my stay so much - kinda like a mini holiday!!

Special thanks to the women for welcoming me into their group.  I was totally impressed with how quickly they picked up the basics and then began creating their own designs.
The very lovely Sheree.

Thanks gorgeous ladies - I had such a wonderful time.  Hope to see you again soon.

Amazing Creations from the Ladies in the Bush

So three weeks of workshops have finished and it was just incredible.   Thanks to all our lovely participants for being so amazing, thanks to Faye for organising the workshops and special thanks to the ladies at the Womens Centre in Mullewa for opening your doors to me and being so welcoming yet again.  We worked mainly on creating beads and necklace components.  I also taught the ladies how to make some very cool wire beads and their own wire clasps.  Needless to say, the finished pieces were all incredible unique and quite beautiful.  There are some very clever ladies in the bush.

Apologies must go to some of the ladies as a few of my pics didn't turn out so I missed out on getting everyone's creations - sorry!!!!!
